The History of the Bunker


Vilnius 2009

Performance 1984. Survival drama in the Soviet bunker

Group (up to 25 persons) price - 100 litas/person, minimum price 1500 litas

Group 26-45 persons price - 2500 litas

Included into the price: 3 hour performance, special clothes, Soviet lunch/dinner with a drink, special cerificate and a gift from a Soviet shop to each member of the group

Possibility to have a seminar before the performance, longer stay in the canteen after or a picnic outside.

Transportation can be arranged at extra cost

Interpreter can be hired at extra cost

Underground Museum of Socialism

25 kilometers from Vilnius in closed territory underground you will discover a vanished “Empire of Evil”, as one of the USA presidents has put it – Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. In the 3000 square meter bunker 6 meters underground we have recreated authentic atmosphere of Socialist world. Upon arrival you will be dressed in a special soviet clothes and guided into the Underground museum by an experienced guide .


August 15th, at 6 p.m

During 90 minutes tour you will see the following:

  • Propaganda Red room (called Lenins’ room)

  • Room of civil defence, where you will try to put on an authentic soviet gas mask

  • KGB interrogation room with an authentic equipment

  • KGB prison cell with authentic items from Vilnius main KGB prison

  • NKVD interrogation room – witness of Stalins’ atrocities

  • Militia room for sobering up people under alcohol intoxication

  • Doctors’ room with real soviet equipment

  • Soviet hospital unit

  • Soviet school

  • Soviet bathroom

  • Apartment of an ordinary Soviet citizen

  • Soviet canteen with a typical tableware and food

  • Restaurant room for high Soviet officials

  • Soviet  store and  hard currency store for foreigners and KGB

Excursion will end in the Socialist Realism Art gallery with a Soviet snack

Duration 90 minutes, language - Lithuanian, Russian, translations possible into English, Polish, Finnish

Soviet clothes and a soviet snack included.

Taking photos allowed. No minimum age.

Transportation to/from the Bunker can be organized. Cost of a bus (51 seat) Vilnius-Bunker- Vilnius - 500 litas, cost of a minibus (20 seats) .Vilnius-Bunker-Vilnius - 250 litas, 16 seats - 200 litas. Taxi - 50 litas one way.
